Our Story
I was born and raised on my fathers farm in Huila, Colombia. Huila is the heart of coffee in Columbia, and it was my father who created Osito with the mission to build transparent, long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with producers and customers alike. The relationships he has built over decades of work in Colombia’s coffee industry are the foundation of Osito’s Colombian supply chain. Jose is still Director of Osito Columbia while I took on the role of CEO as we took Osito global, sourcing green coffee from all over the globe.
Osito is as much about people as it is about great coffee. Our bond with growers is rooted in our shared understanding of what goes into growing coffee. Our experience growing coffee in Colombia allows us to facilitate real relationships between roasters and growers across the globe.

Our fundamental belief is that hard work deserves a fair price, and that only when growers are compensated fairly can a supply chain be truly sustainable. Bringing both ends of the supply chain together is the foundation of our business. We think achieving this goal will allow both growers to produce and consumers to experience amazing coffee year after year.
